Editorial policy
United Chronicle aims to make its explanations accurate, legible and honest about what can be established from the available material. We separate description from interpretation and do not present general articles as professional building assessments.
Accuracy and limits
We check factual statements against suitable references and review whether examples support the point being made. Where a claim is uncertain, contested or dependent on context, we say so. Articles explain general design and construction concepts; they are not instructions for structural checks, repairs or decisions about a particular building.
Independence and partnerships
Editorial choices are made for reader relevance, not to guarantee favourable coverage. Paid collaborations and partner material are clearly identified where they appear. A partnership does not buy an editorial conclusion, and we do not disguise promotional material as independent reporting.
Corrections and illustrations
If you spot a factual error, use the Contact page and identify the passage and article. We review correction requests and amend material when warranted. Some illustrations may be AI-generated; where relevant, captions or accompanying notes identify them, and images are not offered as documentary evidence of a real building.
A building is an argument in materials
Its doors, windows and surfaces make choices visible. We explain what those choices do without pretending every design works equally well.
